Homemade Henna Oil To Reverse Grey Hair | Preity Prerna

If you have prematurely grey hair or dullness in your hair or your hair lacks shine and bounce, this homemade henna hair oil to reverse grey hair can help you. It can be a substitute for your hair spa.

This hair oil can refill the pigment in your hair due to which you are getting premature grey hair. It can give a new life to your hair and repair the damage.

All the ingredients I'm going to use are complementary to each other which will problems caused by one subsided by the other. Also, the ingredients are very powerful and the oil is even more powerful.

Let's get into it.

Table of contents:

Who Can Do This Remedy?

Now, before actually starting the infusion, I want to discuss its do's and don'ts. So that you can be clear about who is going to do this remedy and who is not.

If you have prematurely grey hair, then this oil is a very strong infusion.

If you currently have hair fall in your hair. Then I would suggest that you control your hair fall first. I've shared multiple articles on this issue, you can read those and check out any of them that suits you. And fix your hair fall first and then prepare this infusion oil for yourself.

If you have never used mustard oil. Then I would suggest that first, you make your roots comfortable for mustard oil. And then prepare this infusion oil. Then you will get very good results and you will not face any hair fall or itching as it is a very strong infusion.

Can teenagers use this?

Absolutely. This is a very amazing oil for teenagers. It keeps your hair nourished and healthy. So, you will not face any hair fall due to environmental conditions.

Are there any side effects?

All natural remedies are available in your kitchen. And there are no side effects.

But the only thing is that it is a very strong infusion. That's why your hair and roots should be strong enough to bear it. That is the only thing that you have to keep in mind. Otherwise, there is no problem.

Ingredients:

For this oil infusion, the first thing you need is henna powder. Yes, the same henna that you apply on your hair.

Henna is a very beautiful natural dye that gives colour to your hair.

Your hair will get nourishment, it will get healthy, and it will get shiny.

Now, when you apply henna to your hair, henna gives colour. But here, henna is a nutrition and a pigment. Henna does not give colour. So, don't worry.

The second ingredient that is going to be used here is a big spoon of shikakai powder.

It is known as a hair doctor. Shikakai is such an important medicine that no problem in your hair that is related to your scalp and is troubling your hair growth.

Shikakai can fix it like that. It is very easy. It is used in shampoos because it nourishes your hair.

If any kind of problem is arising, if it is growing, henna is a nutrition, henna is a shampoo, and shikakai is a doctor. It does a repair process.

3]. Mustard Oil

The third thing you need here is mustard oil. Now see here mustard oil has to be a rich raw fat oil that you eat.

I would not suggest that you apply just what is available in the market.

Use the edible mustard oil in this application.

If you do not consume mustard oil then there is no use of applying it anyway. You have to eat it too. It is very good for your body internally.

It is to be given internally and only then will you get a better result externally. So use the same oil that you use to eat mustard oil.

Preparation:

Step 1: In an iron pan (or kadhai), add 200 ml of mustard oil.

If you do not have an iron pan, then you can use any vessel. But the iron vessel is very good for infusion. So, if you can please arrange it.

For grey hair having iron in your body and in the application is very important. That's why I am using an iron pan over here.

Take oil as much as you want to prepare. I took 200 ml of oil.

Step 2: Cook this oil for 7 minutes on a very low flame. It will start getting slightly hot. Your eyes will feel it as mustard oil is very strong.

Step 3: Add 1 big tablespoon of mehendi (henna) powder and 1 big tablespoon of shikakai powder and stir it well.

Step 4: Now let it cook for 20-25 minutes. You can stir it in between.

You can even let it cook for 1 hour if you have a wide iron vessel.

Step 5: Turn off the flame, let it cool and store it in a glass jar.

Step 6: Keep it in sunlight for 5-7 days.

  • So, you heated the oil for 7 minutes, then added the powders and then let the powders stay in the oil for 25 minutes.

  • Now, 25 minutes is just the minimum time in which this infusion can be possible. If you are comfortable, then you can leave it for an hour if your vessel is wide.

  • If your vessel is not wide, then I would suggest that after 25 minutes, remove it, strain it, preferably take it in a glass jar and infuse it in sunlight for 5 to 7 days.

It works like a hair spa for your hair because the three ingredients you are using here are amazing. They complement themselves in combating each other’s negative points and giving you the hair you want.

  • Henna normally causes itchiness in your hair.

  • Then we apply mustard oil to combat that itchiness.

  • Mustard oil is very strong so to settle it we use shikakai.

Application:

Use the oil as you use any other normal oil. If you oil your hair and keep it overnight, you can do that with this oil as well.

If you apply oil just before the bath, you can do that too.

This oil is very potent and gives you shine and bounce.

Your cuticles become happy, your scalp becomes happy, and overall the bounce that your hair gets I cannot tell you.

Questions & Answers:

1]. Why are we keeping the oil in sunlight?

If the infusion doesn't happen properly in 25 minutes, then keeping in the sun will make it happen.

In 5-7 days, the dried powders will slowly infuse and leave their properties in the oil.

Mustard oil is a very thick oil, so infusion is not possible in it normally. But because we have supplied heat, the oil molecules have absorbed a little.

2]. Do we not need to strain the powders out of the oil?

Mustard oil is very thick, so the infusion is going to be very slow. That is why I would suggest that you let the powders stay in the oil.

If you leave it undisturbed, all the powders will settle down and you will not have any kind of problem. You can apply the oil from the top to your hair.

But if you're not comfortable strain it after 5-7 days.

I would recommend that you make fewer batches if you are going to strain it.

If you are not going to strain it and want to keep it for a long time, then make a whole litre of oil at a time. There is no problem.

It will keep infusing slowly. And you will get very good results in your hair.

3]. What to do if I don’t have enough sunlight or can’t keep the oil in sunlight?

If you do not have sunlight here and cannot keep this oil in sunlight, please don't worry. You can use the double boiler method for the whole 7 days, the whole week.

Boil some water and place the infused oil. Here we are supplying heat but not directly.

You can even heat the oil with the double boiler method every time and then apply it.
