The same thing happens with the flaxseeds. If you leave flaxseeds exposed to air, a gel-like layer forms around them.
It happens because both of these seeds belong to the same family! The clothes we wear during the summer season are made from cotton. It is a breathable fibre that helps to keep our bodies cool during summer.

In this article, we will learn a simple 5-step process of preparing flaxseed oil and gel that we can store for a month.

Heat the seeds until you hear a cracking or popping sound (like popcorn!).
This sound indicates that the seeds are dehydrated and ready to use!
Let the seeds cool down.
STEP 2: Grinding
You’ve to double-grind the seeds. Take the seeds in a grinder and grind them till they turn into a powder.
Now, grind the powder further till it gets a caky consistency. The final product turns into a cake form because on grinding the powder, flaxseeds secret their oil.
So yes, flaxseed oil is in the form of cakes and is now ready for an infusion.
STEP 3: Infusion
The oils that you can use for infusion are – coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, or argon oil.
Take the flaxseed cakes in a glass jar or a container. Add the oil of your choice (from the oils mentioned).
Close the lip properly and leave the jar outside for sun infusion (do not forget to bring it inside at night!).
It will take one week for this process to complete. After one week, your magical flaxseed oil will be ready for application.
STEP 4: Application
Detangle your hair nicely before starting the application.
Now start by massaging the roots of the hair with the oil and then move to the lengths.
Leave this oil overnight. If you are uncomfortable with washing your hair in the morning, you can apply the oil in the morning and wash your hair at night.
