Are you stuck in the endless loop of searching for the best hair care tips and hair growth remedies? Well, my beautiful family, your search ends here!

Let me share a secret that will help you get the hair of your dreams. The secret lies in a simple DIY hair serum and hair mask.

The star of this remedy is fenugreek seeds, known as “methi daana” in Hindi. These tiny seeds are a blessing for your hair growth and strength. These seeds are a rich source of iron and protein.

In this article, we’ll learn to prepare hair serum and hair mask using flaxseeds which will give you visible results in just one wash. But, for more potent outcomes, you have to be patient.

Table of Contents:

1]. Hair Serum

Ingredients:

1]. Fenugreek Seed: I discussed in detail everything about fenugreek seeds in this article

Flax Seeds: Benefits For Health, Hair and Skin

2]. Vitamin E Oil: I discussed in detail everything about fenugreek seeds in this article

Preparation:
Preparation for this hair serum has to start a night before you want to apply it.

STEP 1:

Take approximately one tablespoon of fenugreek seed in a bowl and wash them with clean water. Soak the seeds overnight and let them release their magical nutrients in the water.

STEP 2:

The next day in the morning, you will notice the colour of the water changed into goldish-yellow. Empty the water along with the seeds in a pan. Add one or one and a half bowls of water more to the pan.

STEP 3:

Put the flame on low heat and let the infusion take place for 5-10 min so that all the nutrients get infused with the water nicely. After 5-10 min, turn the flame off and leave the infused water and seeds in the pan to cool down.

STEP 4:
In the next step, blend the seeds nicely (preferably with a hand blender). The juices of the fenugreek seeds will release and mix well with the water. Now strain the liquid part in a bowl and save the ground seeds for the hair mask.

STEP 5:

Now the next ingredient to go into our serum is Vitamin E oil. Add three capsules of vitamin E or one tablespoon of vitamin E oil to the strained liquid. Vitamin E oil will give your hair lustre, shine, and growth. It can also help with split ends and repair hair shafts.

STEP 6:

Mix both ingredients well, and your serum is ready! Now, transfer the serum to a squeeze bottle or a pump bottle. The reason for using a squeeze or a pump bottle is for your convenience.

Application:

Shake the bottle well before applying.

Use this serum twice a week. Apply the serum in a generous amount 1-2 hours before head wash. You can leave the serum overnight as well.

Is the serum oily? Well, it does contain vitamin E oil, but it is not at all oily.

2]. Hair Mask

Ingredients:

Don’t worry! I did not forget the remainder of the ground seeds. These seeds are the star and the ONLY ingredient of our hair mask.

Add a little water to the ground seeds and grind in further in a mixer-grinder. You have to make a paste out of it. The consistency that you will get from the paste will be flour-like. And here it is, your hair mask is ready for application!

Application:

Use this mask once a week.

Apply the mask thoroughly on your scalp. You can apply it to the lengths of your hair if you are comfortable with it. After applying, wear a shower cap to cover your hair and leave the mask for 15-20 mins or a maximum of 40 mins.

Wash your hair normally as you do. Make sure that you wash off the mask nicely before shampooing the hair.

If you see some granules left in your hair after the wash, do not panic. Let your hair dry first, and then comb it. All the granules will come out easily. Be mentally prepared to see some granules left on your scalp. But once you wash your hair correctly and let it dry and comb, you will notice smoother and shinier hair!

Usage:

You can use the mask and the serum alternately if you wash your hair twice a week.

Apply the hair mask before the first wash and the serum before the second. If you wash your hair thrice a week, you can apply the hair mask for the first wash and serum for the remaining two.

Storage:

Fenugreek is rich in iron, and we know that iron rusts. To avoid rust, refrigerate the serum and the mask. Make sure that you do not leave these for a long time. Make a fresh batch as quickly as possible.

Conclusion:

This remedy is so potent that you will see its magic just from the first wash. You have to be patient with it to see long-lasting results. I am sure these tiny seeds will be your hair’s best friend.
