There is a way your hair can enjoy the goodness of a hair mask without worrying about chemical damage.

This hair mask will repair your hair and make it smooth, shiny, strong, and frizz-free!

You will prepare this magical hair mask at your home, and it will give you magical results in ONE WASH.

Ingredients

You need only three ingredients to prepare this hair mask:

Egg Yolk or Banana:

  • If you are a non-vegetarian or eggetarian, go for egg yolk. If you are a vegetarian, a banana will do the job!
  • Damaged hair caused by heat or chemical treatments, can be restored and rebuilt with the aid of the proteins found in egg yolks.
  • Egg yolks’ vitamins and fatty acids can make the hair appear healthier and more lustrous. Bananas will do the same job for your hair.
  • Bananas include potassium, which can help hair strands become more pliable and stronger. It helps lower the likelihood of hair breakage.
  • Vitamin B6, C, and A are among the vitamins found in bananas that are proven to promote healthy hair follicles and hair growth.

Coconut Oil:

  • Almost everyone is aware of the goodness of coconut oil! Lauric acid in coconut oil can permeate the hair shaft and aid in conditioning and moisturising hair.
  • Because it may prevent and treat dryness and frizz, it is magnificent for dry and damaged hair.
  • Because coconut oil contains vitamins and vital fatty acids that nourish hair follicles, improve scalp health, and stop hair breakage, it can encourage hair growth.
  • By lowering protein loss, coconut oil can fortify hair. The protein in hair strands can bond with the oil, reducing their susceptibility to breaking and damage.

Honey:

Honey? But honey decolorises the hair.

Honey becomes a bleaching agent when it oxidises and produces hydrogen peroxide.

  • What people do not know is that the amount of hydrogen peroxide in oxidised honey is near to nothing.
  • It is safe to use honey for hair. Here, we are mixing it with other ingredients. By retaining moisture and reducing frizz, it can leave your hair feeling silky and smooth.
  • It gives the hair a smooth quality that facilitates styling and makes it easier to handle.
  • Amino acids found in honey can aid in strengthening hair and lowering breakage.
  • When combined with other natural compounds, it can effectively restore damaged hair.
  • By lessening dandruff, flakiness, and itching, honey’s antibacterial and anti-fungal qualities might support the upkeep of a healthy scalp.

These three ingredients are easily available or might already be in your kitchen. You can skip coconut oil or replace it with any infusion oil you are currently using. You can skip honey if you are sceptical, but I suggest not skipping it.

Preparation:

Follow these steps to prepare the hair mask.

STEP 1: Add egg yolks in a bowl. The quantity of egg yolks depends on the length of your hair. One egg yolk for short hair, two for medium, and three for long hair. If you are using a banana, do not forget to mash it.

STEP 2: Add one tablespoon of coconut oil.

STEP 3: Now add one tablespoon of honey.

STEP 4: Whisk the ingredients together.

Your one-wash challenge hair mask is ready for application. Yes, it is this simple.

Application:

Apply the hair mask to your scalp and hair strands. But do remember that if you are using egg, it will stink (a lot!). So, wear a shower cap and cover up your head after application.

After 20 mins of application, once your hair starts getting stiff, shampoo your hair. Wash your hair using shampoo thoroughly (only then will you be able to eliminate the stench!).

Once you wash your hair, you will see the magic! Your hair will get smoother, shinier, and frizz-free.

Usage:

Use this hair mask once a week if your hair is extremely damaged. Those with normal to healthy hair can apply between 15-30 days.

Can you use this on children? Yes, you can. This hair mask is for all age groups.

What Can You Expect?

Results are guaranteed after just one wash. You will see visible improvement in the texture of your hair; your hair will get smoother, shinier, and stronger.

Do not take my word for it. Take the challenge and see yourself.
