  • Rose water and rice water are natural astringents, i.e., they can help tone and tighten the skin.

  • Rose water can act as a daily facial toner after cleansing to minimize the appearance of pores and balance the skin's pH.

Procedure:

Follow these simple steps to create your luxurious body wash:

STEP 1: CLEANSING

It is a special facial, so the cleansing will also be special.

For the first step of cleansing, use any non-comedogenic face oil.

Take the non-comedogenic face oil of your choice in your palms, charge it by rubbing your palms, and start applying it on your face.

Pay special attention to the problematic areas of the face. Oil attaches itself to dirt and pollutants on your skin and removes it.

But, the cleansing process is not over yet. The second cleansing step will extract the oil with all the dirt and deposition from your face.

For this, make a multani mitti paste. Take one tablespoon of multani mitti and add water to make a paste. Apply it to your face and leave it for 2 mins.

STEP 2: STEAMING

After 2 min, when multani mitti starts to dry a little, you will take steam. Take steam and gently massage the multani mitti.

Most of you will feel that this is it. Your skin will feel pleasant and soft. Keep massaging multani mitti while taking steam.

Wipe off the mask, and you will see that your whiteheads are gone. Those with stubborn blackheads and whiteheads, do not worry, this facial will remove those as well.

STEP 3: EXFOLIATING

For the preparation of exfoliator, you need

Ingredients:

  • Curd/Yogurt

Preparation:

  • STEP 1: Take two tablespoons of curd/yoghurt in a bowl.

  • STEP 2: Add one tablespoon of lemon/orange peel powder and mix.

If you want your exfoliator to have a grainy consistency, use it immediately. Otherwise, let it sit for a few minutes till the grains soften.

Application:

  • Apply a layer of the exfoliator like a face mask and leave it for 5-7 mins. Use a soft, wet towel to wipe the exfoliator from your face.

  • Your skin will now be completely clean and ready for the next step!

STEP 4: MESSAGING

For the preparation of the massaging cream, you need

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice

  • Aloe Vera Gel

  • Vitamin E Oil

  • Jojoba Oil

Preparation:

  • STEP 1: Add 2-3 tablespoons of cooked rice in a blender.

  • STEP 2: Add 1-2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel (depending upon the consistency).

  • STEP 3: Add 2-3 capsules of vitamin E oil.

  • STEP 4: Add 2-3 pumps of jojoba oil.

  • STEP 5: Grind all the ingredients, and your massaging cream is ready. You can add rosewater to get a thin, watery consistency.

Application:

  • Massage the cream thoroughly on your face. Focus on the problematic areas like the corners of your mouth and nose.

  • Use a wet towel to clean the cream, and see if your skin has gotten brighter and glowy. You take the steam again after this step.

STEP 5: ICE APPLICATION

For this step, you can use your regular (water) ice cube or frozen aloe vera gel to make an ice cube.

Application:

  • Rub the ice cube on your face and moisturize every pore. Your skin will feel bounsier and softer after icing after wiping the face.

STEP 6: FACE MASK

The results of the ice application are temporary and need locking. You will apply a face mask to lock the results of the facial! This mask will bring the skin to its original temperature and prevent the oil glands from secreting too much oil.

For the preparation of the face mask, you need

Ingredients:

  • Milk Powder

  • Rose Petal Powder

  • Rose Water or Rice Water (for mixing the ingredients)

  • Substitutes: Use rice flour instead of milk powder if not available. If rose petal powder is unavailable, use dried rose petals to make the powder. You can also crush rose petals and use them.

Preparation:

  • STEP 1: Take one tablespoon of milk powder in a bowl.

  • STEP 2: Add one tablespoon of rose petal powder.

  • STEP 3: Use rose or rice water to mix the ingredients and make the face pack!

Application:

  • Start by massaging a thin coat of the face pack on your face. After that, apply a thick layer and leave it for 10 mins.

  • After 10 minutes, wipe it with a wet towel.

→ Moisturizing is optional after this facial.

You will get glowy, bright, and bouncy skin. A Pearl glow is guaranteed after this facial. Your skin will be festive/special occasion-ready.

So gather the ingredients, make time, and give this glowing gift to your skin!
