You must understand the details of facial hair removal so that you can make informed choices.

Facial hair removal is not a one-size-fits-all solution so you need to acknowledge the multiple aspects of this process and finally find what works well for you.

Ingredients For Facial Hair Removal:

For this facial hair removal remedy, we need four ingredients. Let’s learn a little about the magical power of these ingredients before we start the process.

Gelatin For Facial Hair Removal:

Gelatin which is often associated with making jelly, is a blessing for your skin. It is rich in collagen which provides elasticity and firmness to the skin.

As we age, the production of collagen naturally declines, leading to the formation of wrinkles, sagging skin, and other signs of ageing.

By adding gelatin to your skincare routine, you can help reduce these effects by supplying the skin with the building blocks it needs to maintain its youthfulness.

This source of protein is essential for the repair and regeneration of skin cells. It also contains other nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, that are important for maintaining healthy skin.

Overall, gelatin can be a valuable addition to your skincare regimen, offering a natural and effective way to promote youthful, radiant skin.

Turmeric:

Turmeric as we all know is a vibrant yellow-orange spice commonly used in our Indian cooking.

But beyond its cooking uses, it has a long history of medicinal and skincare applications. Turmeric or haldi has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.

There are two main types of turmeric commonly used in skincare: kitchen turmeric and wild turmeric, also known as Kasturi turmeric. While both varieties share some similar benefits, they have distinct characteristics and applications in skincare.

Wild turmeric, or Kasturi turmeric is known for its more subtle fragrance and lighter colour compared to kitchen turmeric. It is widely utilised in traditional Ayurvedic and herbal medicine systems for its skincare benefits.

The detoxifying properties of wild turmeric can help cleanse the skin by unclogging pores, removing impurities, and promoting a clearer complexion.

This makes it particularly beneficial for individuals with oily or acne-prone skin, as it can help reduce breakouts and prevent future blemishes.

Honey:

Honey, a natural sweetener produced by honey bees from the nectar of flowers, has been prized for its medicinal and skincare properties for centuries.

Honey offers a wide range of benefits for the skin, making it a popular ingredient in skin care products and homemade remedies.

One of the key skincare benefits of honey is its natural humectant properties. As a humectant, honey can attract moisture from the environment and retain it in the skin, making it an excellent moisturiser for dry skin types.

Regular use of honey-based skincare products or homemade masks can help hydrate the skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple, and moisturised.

Honey is also known for its ability to promote an even skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

Lukewarm Milk:

Raw milk has been used for centuries as a natural skincare remedy. It is cherished for its rich nutrient content which helps in maintaining great skin health.

One of the primary benefits of raw milk for skin health is its ability to hydrate and moisturise. Raw milk contains a high percentage of water, which helps to replenish the skin’s moisture levels and maintain hydration.

The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of raw milk make it an effective treatment for acne-prone skin.

Raw milk contains compounds such as lactoferrin and lysozyme, which help slow down the growth of acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation associated with breakouts.

And finally, the gentle exfoliating action of lactic acid helps to unclog pores and prevent future acne flare-ups.

Preparation & Application:

Gather the following ingredients to avoid any last-minute hassles:

  • 1 tablespoon of Gelatin

  • A pinch of kitchen turmeric or one-third tablespoon of Kasturi turmeric

  • One-third tablespoon of honey

  • 3-4 tablespoons of lukewarm/raw milk

Instructions:

Step 1:

In a clean bowl, measure out 1 tablespoon of gelatin and add a pinch of kitchen turmeric or one-third tablespoon of Kasturi turmeric. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help soothe the skin after hair removal.

Step 2:

Next, add one-third tablespoon of honey to the bowl. Honey is a natural humectant, which means it helps to attract and retain moisture, keeping the skin hydrated during the hair removal process.

Step 3:

Pour 3-4 tablespoons of lukewarm or raw milk into the bowl with the other ingredients. Lukewarm or raw milk is beneficial for the skin as it contains water, proteins, and natural lipids that aid in hydration and nourishment.

Step 4:

Using a spoon or whisk, mix the ingredients until they are well combined. Stir until the mixture reaches room temperature and starts to thicken. This may take a few minutes, so be patient and continue stirring until the desired consistency is achieved.

Step 6:

Once the mixture has thickened to a spreadable consistency, it is ready to use. Apply the homemade hair removal pack to the desired area using a spatula or your fingers. Make sure to spread it evenly over the skin in a thin, uniform layer.

Step 7:

Allow the hair removal pack to dry completely on the skin. This may take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the layer and the room temperature.

Step 8:

Once the pack is fully dry, gently peel it off in the opposite direction of hair growth. The pack will adhere to the hair and pull it out from the root, leaving the skin smooth and hair-free.

Step 9:

After removing the pack, rinse the skin with plain water to remove any residue. Follow up with a gentle moisturiser to soothe and hydrate the skin.

NOTE:

If you notice redness, don’t worry. Simply moisturise your face with your regular moisturiser or aloe vera gel.

After the first application only you can get glowing and smooth skin. But consistent use of this hair removal pack over a week will give you the best results.

With this or any other natural remedy, you need patience as natural remedies take some time to show results. Trust in the power of these amazing ingredients and the process.
