Summer season is hard on the skin! Excessive sweating, breakouts, oily secretion, anything you apply on the face melts away, and there is not enough time to do a DIY remedy.

It is crucial to take proper care of the skin all the time, but it becomes more decisive during the summer season. The skin goes through very harsh conditions in this season.
People often forget to hydrate or wash their face timely and let the sweat settle. We often forget to care for our skin and complain about annoying skin problems!
So what is the solution? How can you take care of the skin to keep it healthy throughout the season?
Do not worry when I am here! I have a perfect guide for the summer season! It is not a DIY remedy but a simple skincare routine for you to follow throughout the day.
This morning-to-night skincare routine will keep your skin healthy and supple even during the cruel summer!
So let’s unlock the ways to beat the heat (for the skin)!

Morning Routine:
1]. Start your day with a morning drink:
Most people do not understand the importance of having a morning drink. Morning drinks like warm water, gooseberry (amla) juice, cumin (jeera) water, fennel (saunf) water, or any healthy morning drink of your choice works as a blessing for the skin.
This habit will give you marvellous results in the form of healthy and glowing skin.
Also, including a morning drink will keep your body hydrated and the gut clean.
But remember, you will not get immediate results. Inculcate this habit in your routine and be patient. I am sure your patience will yield the best results.
2]. Splash water on the face after brushing the teeth:
I discontinued using facewash in the morning. I am sure that many of you are shocked by reading this.
Do not worry! You will get your answers eventually (keep reading!).
After brushing your teeth, splash cold water on your face 6-8 times. If ever I feel like using a facewash, I go for my DIY facewash (OGs know what I am talking about).
Pat dry the face using a towel.
3]. Do not forget to apply SPF every morning:
This step is the most crucial part of the morning skincare routine. Immediately after bathing and dressing, put sunscreen on.
Make sure that you do not miss any exposed surface of the skin. Apply it on your face, neck, and arms.
Apply a moisturizer first if you want to, and then go for SPF. Now if you are wondering won’t the skin feel oily, dark, or icky because you haven’t used facewash?
You will get an answer in the night skincare so be patient!
4]. Eat healthy throughout the day:
I challenge you to try eating healthy for just 4-5 days to begin. Avoid fried and fast food, and DO NOT drink carbonated drinks.
I am sure you will see visible improvement in your energy level and skin! Eating healthy helps the body to stay rejuvenated throughout the day. Keep hydrating as well!
Drink enough water throughout the day. I am not asking you to avoid eating fried or fast food during parties or outings. You can make some exceptions if you promise yourself to compensate.
After any event that disrupts your diet, you can go on a detox or fasting. It maintains equilibrium in the diet. It can be a little difficult, but when you start seeing the results, you will fall in love with healthy eating habits!
It is all you need to do throughout the day to keep your skin (and body) healthy. Now I know there are some unanswered questions. Answers are coming in the night-time skincare routine.
Night Routine:
There is one more thing you should do in the evening. Wash your face with water and reapply the sunscreen. Reapplying sunscreen is crucial to keep your skin protected from UV rays.
If you work in an office and cannot wash your face, use a sunscreen stick. It is like sunscreen but in a stick form.
You can apply it conveniently over your makeup without taking sunscreen on your palm. (Do you use a sunscreen stick to reapply sunscreen?)
Finally, it is time for the night skincare routine.
1]. Clean your face using micellar water:
I start my skincare at night by cleaning my face and neck using micellar water. This step is optional for those who do not wear makeup at all.
But if you wear makeup (even if it is only kajal), use micellar water! If you do not apply makeup, wash your face using facewash.
2]. Use facewash to wash the face:
After cleaning my face thoroughly using micellar water, I wash my face with a face wash.
Double cleansing at night removes all the dirt, pollutants, and excess oil from the skin.
3]. Apply face oil:
After double cleansing, apply a face oil of your choice. There are so many options in the market. I use kumkumadi oil, and it is like a warm hug for my skin.
You should use a face oil that suits you the best. Face oil provides nourishment to the skin. It heals the skin deeply and gives a relaxing sensation.
Our skin repairs itself while we sleep. So it is crucial to provide a good boost of nourishment to the skin, and face oil does the job well.
In the morning, when you splash your face with water, you will see how moisturized and hydrated your skin feels! And this is why I do not use a face wash in the morning. The skin will feel so good in the morning that you will be surprised (try this once!).
